OSHA Lightens Injury & Illness Reporting Requirements

OSHA issued a final rule on 25 January allowing employers of large facilities to avoid reporting injury & illness logs and incident reports. OSHA states the rule was made to protect workers’ privacy and save money, but critics maintain that the resulting lack of publicly available injury & illness data will hinder efforts to improve occupational health & safety.
