What is a Legal Register?

The Core Country Legal Register gives multinational companies the inventory of environmental, health & safety requirements applicable to an office, retail store or service sector operation in a particular country.

Each requirement is available in dual language (English and the national language) and includes a descriptive summary of each requirement. Legal register summaries are written in plain language to be read and understood by a non-EHS professional who may oversee EHS compliance at a site―such as an office or retail store manager.

  • Supports compliance in opening of new operations

  • Help ensure compliance in store or office build-out

  • Informs the site’s EHS committee of its responsibilities

  • Presents a site’s EHS permit conditions or internal policies in one place

  • Demonstrates existence of a compliance assurance program

  • Reduces company risk
